One of Miriam and Jacob's favorite things to do is to play in my kitchen bowls. Since we don't have a whole lot of room in the apartment they find them quickly. Today it lasted about 2 hours they were playing putting the bowls on thier heads and pretending to be different things and laughing at each other. They are so cute and creative that it is hard to be upset I have to wash them all AGAIN.

Playing in the bowls again!

It's SNOWING???
Last winter in Utah we had a lot of snow and I didn't like it much, though I don't enjoy it in Vegas it is more of a welcome suprise than it would be in Utah. The good thing about Las Vegas is we know it is not going to stay too long so we have to enjoy it for the short time that it is around. Miriam didn't want to stand out in it for a picture, but I knew if we waited to take the picture after it stopped snowing it would all be melted already.
Workout Fun
Miriam and Jacob like to encourage me to workout even on days that I don't want to be. I have been able to lose a lot of weight in the last couple months so I do want to keep working hard, but when I don't have enough will power to do it all I have to do is invite Miriam and Jacob to join me and they really move and get me moving as well. They really enjoyed doing the step aerobics with me. Another of their favorites is when we ride our bikes, they love to go in the trailor and they know the end result is generally the park.

Thanksgiving come and gone!
We had a really good time on Thanksgiving. It was the first Thanksgiving that Daniel and I have done on our own with our little family. The first time I have had to cook the turkey and all of the trimmings, and it actually turned out a lot better than I might have imagined it would. We made a lot of food enough to have left overs for about 5 days after thanksgiving. It started with stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and of course included turkey, potatoes and gravy, yams, stuffing, and also mac and cheese for the little ones and Crystal to give her some soul food. We ended with peach cobbler here at our house and then went across town to have another dinner with Daniel's extended family. We took Jeannie and Courtney with us along wiht our own little ones of course we all had a great time playing basketball and stuffing ourselves to the limit.
Jacob Goes Potty!
The other day Miriam asked to use the restroom and Daniel decided to take Jacob with them to go. Jacob pointed to the potty and signed please to Daniel so he put Jacob up on the potty and let him sit there for a minute. Nothing happened so he turned the water on and all of a sudden... Jacob did it. He went Pee Pee in the potty for the very first time.

We Are Growing!!!
November 22, 2008
Today Daniel and I got a little time to take the kids and go shopping for some shoes and jackets because it is finally getting a bit cold here. We got the kids feet measured and found out that Jacob's shoes were two sizes too small and Miriam's are about once size too small. We also realized a couple of days ago Jacob is getting his molars in, and Miriam's pants that were too long one month ago are now getting a little short on her. We are always just amazed at how fast our little ones are growing and are never bored by the things they are doing and learning each day.
